The first match of the season saw a new look Bedfordshire Challenge team take on Middlesex at Bedford & County GC on Sun 27 April. The past two years has seen Middlesex get the better of this fixture, both home and away, so hopes were high to reverse this trend.  Morning Foursomes saw 2&1 wins for Paul Kenna & Jordan White (playing 1) and home club pairing of Ross Hamilton & George Garnham (playing 4) to leave the match finely balanced at 2-2. The singles in the afternoon ebbed and flowed, but ultimately following wins for Jordan White (3&2), Connor Tallentire (1 hole), Ross Hamilton (1 hole), George Garnham (5&4) and in the final match Paul Kenna (2&1), Bedfordshire secured a welcome and deserved 7-5 win. Congratulations to all the team on a good start to the season and looking forward to the return at West Middlesex on 1 June, and thanks to Bedford & County GC for hosting the match.
