County Boys win Under-18s League

Bedfordshire Boys Under-18s team booked their place in the South East Final next month after thrashing Suffolk and Norfolk in the last East Region qualifying match at Royal Norwich GC.

Despite being without some key players, and needing victory in both matches to guarantee top spot in the group, Bedfordshire produced an outstanding performance as they hammered Suffolk 6½-1½ and defeated the under-strength home county 7-1.

Captain Connor Tallentire, James Stocks, Adam Khan, William Mowe and Dillon Basi won both their matches, Nathan Church was unbeaten, while Vikram Singh and Max Brunker collected one victory and one defeat, both on the 18th hole.

Bedfordshire will now compete against Hertfordshire and Surrey in the Boys Under-18s South East Final at John O’Gaunt GC on Sunday, September 22nd.
