South Beds finished a very respectable tied-sixth, out of 32 counties, in the English Junior Champion Club tournament on the Bracken course at Woodhall Spa.
The trio of Archie Wooliscroft, Isaac Khan and Charlie Simpson, who qualified for the national event after winning the Bedfordshire tournament at The Millbrook earlier in the season, compiled an excellent two-round total of 136 points.
Wooliscroft's score of 70 points meant he finished in seventh place, out of 96 players.
