South Beds clinched the Bedfordshire Junior Inter Club Team Championship for the first time since 2005 as they beat a large field of 21 teams at The Millbrook.
In tricky scoring conditions, the trio of Charlie Simpson, Archie Wooliscroft and Isaac Khan posted a winning tally of 100 points to finish two points clear of the chasing pack.
Club-mates Lucas Harley, who carded the best individual score of 39 points, Harry Laycock and Dannan Gill finished runners-up on countback from Cainhoe Wood's Amanda Ellis, Edward Tubridy and Jayden Slender.
After attracting 13 teams in the previous two years, the decision to expand the competition to allow clubs to enter more than two teams was hailed as a success and is expected to be repeated for future years.
