Local Player Wins Handicap Championship

On the same day as the Scratch event, Aylesbury Vale player Dave Carrol pipped the effervescent Eric Hamilton to the Handicap Championship.

Tim thanked all the volunteers and players for a superbly organised event held over the two days on a magnificently presented Aylesbury Vale Golf Course.

The event was managed by David Corfan and aside from the Green Keepers, Hospitality Staff and Director of Golf Chris Wright, the County are supported by a host of volunteers. 6 New referees supplemented the ever present Mike Smith and Martin McDermott and starting duties were led by Tim.

We should also not forget the local members who not only gave up there course for the weekend but also came in and raked bunkers. A big thankyou from all the players.
