Match played at Bedfordshire Golf Club on 18th Sept

This friendly match was played in a terrific spirit against two unions who have developed a good relationship over recent seasons.

The course at Bedfordshire was in tip top condition and a big thank you goes to John Gubb and his team for preparing the course so well, also thanks to all at BGC for making the day run smoothly.

The format for the day was 4bbb and the match result was a very close affair with BB&O just pipping it by 3.5 to 2.5.

Results were as follows. (Beds first)

Sutton and Caunt halved with Sanders and Buttivant

Haines and Harris lost to Reid and Hull 3/2

Banwell and Marshall lost to Niven and Oakes 4/3

Brown and Stokes beat Pearce and Bower 5/4

Smith and Shorley lost to Koen and Sewell 4/2

Kavanagh and Hollands beat Lucas and Peake 2/1

The return game is scheduled for 12th October at Calcot Park.
