17. The top sixteen players in the Championship shall be entered into a seeded draw for the County
Match-play Championship (see Match-play Championship rules).
THE COUNTY MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
18. Entry by qualification only.
19. Qualifying. Players with the best 16 scores at the County Championship are eligible, ties for 16th place
will be decided on countback over the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or final round of the Championship.
20. Format. Each round shall be 18 Hole Scratch Matchplay with sudden death in the event of any match
finishing all square after 18 holes. The player at the top of the 1st round will have home advantage (which
may be changed if the players agree). Home advantage for subsequent rounds are shown on the draw
sheet, again this may be changed if the players agree. Players are responsible for contacting each other
and arranging their matches.
21. The semi-finals and final will be played at a neutral course (date in mid to late October & venue to be
advised).
22. The winner of each round MUST inform the County Competitions Secretary as soon as possible of
the result by telephone or email. Failure to inform the Competitions Secretary by the round closing
date will result in both players exclusion from the competition.
